Registered office and physical presence in ADGM

The registered office is the address on the public record. Notices, service of documents, and a large part of “are you really in ADGM?” sit there. It must be in the jurisdiction. A Dubai marina apartment or a mainland home office will not do.

What usually works

• A flexi-desk or virtual-office package from a provider whose lease ADGM will register.
• A dedicated room or office on Al Maryah Island or another accepted ADGM location.
• Mail handling so someone can receive registrar and court correspondence.

What founders confuse

• Registered office (legal address) vs workplace (where people sit).
• Coworking day-passes vs a lease the Registration Authority can file.
• Economic-substance rules vs the registered-office rule. You can have a correct address and still have ESR work if your activity is in scope.

Visas do not replace an address

Hiring on an establishment card does not move the registered office. If the team sits in Dubai or Cairo, the ADGM company still needs its ADGM address and someone minding the inbox.
